What a wonderful day and experience it was. Close to 90 participants, whereof 40 Spartans & friends wearing distinctive black in two Spartan boats, Raging Mouflons, Zulus and Limassol Dragons.
Many new faces competing in this event for a first time. A lot of joy inducing adrenaline, passion and pure muscle power delivered at the beat of the drum.
Above all, friendly and fair atmosphere with healthy yes strong competitiveness. Smiles all over the place, athletes in all colors of the Cyprus dragon boating.
Trophies stay where they were, with Mouflons for Ladies and Spartans for Open category.
As an icing on a cake, a birthday celebration.
I’d argue (fiercely, and “you would not like me when I argue fiercely”) that Germasogeia venue was the happiest place on the entire planet this morning.
Once again, our little community with huge hearts enjoyed the day, the fun, the race.
